Putting Tips That Can Help Improve Your Game
So you can hit pretty accurately from 100 yards? But just how good is your
putting? You can't deny that each putt you do can change the whole momentum
of your game. Need some putting tips? Well here are some tips that might be
able to help you out!
The first thing to remember is that you want to keep your lower body stabilized.
If you watch the pro's your going to notice that all great putters have a rock-steady
lower half and they swing their putter from above the waist. Not sure if you're
a hands-driven putter or a shoulder-driven putter? Well keep in mind this is
all just a matter of personal style. But remember, one thing's for sure, no
matter what you decide, your lower body must stay as still as possible.
Are you having some problems with your short putts? Well maybe this can help.
You're always going to want to have contact with the center of your putterface.
Keep your target on-line, keep making contact with the square of your putterface
and accelerate the clubhead through impact. Keep practicing these tips and you
should find you have a solid short putt.
Keep your eye on the ball. If you deviate from the ball while trying to make
impact, you might notice this can lead to miss-hits that may not only affect
your aim, but can also affect your distance and control. When putting, try not
to sway, lift or slide, these tend to lead to miss putts as well. So remember
to keep your eyes steady and keep your body stable and this should help you
with your putting as well.
The biggest thing to tell you is that practice makes perfect. If you're
having some problems with your putting then get out there and keep working on
it. If you're still unable to reach the point you want to be at, look
into lessons from an instructor. Don't let it throw you off; putting is
a crucial part of your game.
Remember: try not to get discouraged, keep a positive mind set and put these
putting tips into practice, because putting is harder then it looks. If you're
able to stay positive and work on it, then you'll definitely notice and
improvement in your putting.
